IN a rare moment of feeling like having digital cable was worth $60/month - I finished the Laguna Beach Premiere and stumbled on MORGAN SPURLOCK'S "30 days" - on Fox. Morgan made "supersize me" and now this show highlights a different topic for 30 days. Trying to live on minimum wage for 30 days - or immersing yourself in gay culture for 30 days, or living on a vegan self sustainable farm for 30 days. Not only is the show some of the most entertaining reality tv out there - it's also the smartest.

I learned last night that truly there is no need for fossil fuel whatsoever. There are dozens of renewable resources out there that given the oppotunity could fuel our massively consumptive society.
